Before form is fixed — the moment something is about to be born, held in suspension.
The work of Ignasi Buneri dwells in that interval. Between painting and drawing, control and release, dream and waking. Combining oil, enamel, and electric sander, his practice generates an expression where construction and deconstruction occur simultaneously — as mechanical process and mark-making cross and recross, a quiet question persists: how much of a sensation, before it becomes meaning, can painting hold?
The artist listens closely to an inner landscape, adding and withdrawing, calibrating. The vibration that emerges on the surface is not a fixed image but something that continues, quietly, to move — its presence called into being only by the gaze of the viewer.
