ArtXAuction is committed to empowering individuals to make informed and insightful art acquisitions by providing educational resources and comprehensive information. We strive to cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation for art by highlighting the intrinsic value and cultural significance of curated collections. By exploring the financial landscape of art, we connect it to broader societal considerations, fostering a truly meaningful and enriching experience.
Our partner organisation, the Global Coralition, was established in 2017 by Angelina Chen and Kyle Blosch. It unites artists, scientists, and cultural leaders around a singular mission: the revitalisation of marine ecosystems. One key objective focuses on the regeneration of coral reefs, a critical ecosystem that sustains 25% of all marine life and directly supports the livelihoods of an estimated 1 billion individuals globally. (Over the past 30 years, half of the world's coral reefs have been lost, and it is estimated that 90% will be lost by 2050.) They not only streamline the coral regeneration process, but they also foster collaboration between artists and local communities under the guidance of local cultural leaders to create impactful art pieces. Against the backdrop of severe coral reef decline in Sosúa Bay, Dominican Republic, they created a 15-foot sculpture of Atabey, the "Mother of Waters." This artwork seeks to move beyond mere rational communication, fostering an emotional connection with the ocean that drives awareness and inspires the community to take action.

The mission of Global Coralition deeply resonates with the core values of ArtXAuction. By promoting curated artworks with a strong social relevance, ArtXAuction strives to foster greater art literacy. Similarly, Global Coralition leverages the power of art to advocate for the regeneration of marine ecosystems. Since ArtXAuction's inception, the two organizations have forged a close partnership, working collaboratively towards shared goals. Through an exhibition held in February 2023 at RVCA Shibuya Gallery, in collaboration with the RVCA Artist Network Program, ArtX donated proceeds to support the first land-based coral farming project on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.

Dwellers Charity Exhibition Vol. II About the Charity Global CoralitionContinuing from the previous volume, we will feature the charity exhibition "Dwellers" held at RVCA Shibuya Gallery, which supports up-and-coming artists. In this second volume of the article, we would like to talk about the charity support for the Global Coralition, which was realized through the collaboration between ArtX and RVCA. We also want to discuss the significance of our activities through this exhibition, Dwellers.
Continuing of focusing our commitment to environmental causes, ArtXAuction supports Global Coralition's mangrove restoration project, aiming to regenerate vital marine ecosystems. Mangroves, unique trees thriving at the land-sea boundary, provide invaluable habitat for over 1,500 species. They act as natural filtration systems, improving water quality and sustaining rich marine environments, while also playing a crucial role in climate change mitigation. These forests sequester five times more carbon than terrestrial counterparts and shield coastal communities against storms, tsunamis, and rising sea levels. Sadly, since 1996, global mangrove cover has declined by 3.4%. Though the rate of loss has slowed, the Asia-Pacific region continues to face threats, putting these ecosystems at risk. ArtXAuction pledges to support the regeneration of Japanese mangroves by donating 3% of auction proceeds, ensuring one tree is planted for every dollar contributed.

ArtXAuction is committed to fostering a strong connection with the community through art. We believe that art can be a powerful force for positive change, and we are dedicated to using our platform to make a meaningful impact on society and create a sustainable future.
